Emillianna is a prime example of an alpaca you would expect to emerge from the Mile High Alpaca Breeding program. The choice to integrate Brilliance of Peru genetics through his excellent son, Mile High Bandimere with Starry Night's Pica Flor was brilliant and Emilianna is result. Emilianna has great dense fleece with very nice fine bright fleece; Chimera Ranch was able to acquire Emilianna as part of a package from a farm that was going out of business. Given that our breeding program is not focused on light/white, we are pleased to offer her for sale. Liezel of Tierra Prometida is from the world renown Cresent Moon's Rayo Del Sol line of Genetics with her sire being Cresent Moon's Touchet. She is wonderful conformation, is a great mother and excellent fleece structure and fineness. Liezel was bred to Snowmass Enlightenment in July of 2011, the future is looking great.

Mile High Victoria’s Secret says “Move over runway girls”. Rich mahogany color, outstanding conformation, fine, dense fleece and a beautiful uniform crimp from tip to skin are just a few traits that have allowed Victoria’s Secret to experience the show ring success that her dam,Mile High Peruvian Hannah Bay, a 3-time color champion and her sire, the renowned El Nino’s Golden Legend, had set for their progeny to follow. El Nino’s Golden Legend is perhaps one of the most striking males that any breeder will encounter. Victoria’s Secret has certainly inherited and displays his phenotype and genetic traits. We are very excited to have added Mile High Peruvian Victoria’s Secret, as a future part of our breeding program. This beautiful female has introduced us to the show ring competition with memories that we will never forget. Chiaroscuro is a beautiful rose grey lady whose fleece is exceptionally fine and bright throughout her blanket. Integrate these fleece attributes with skin to tip crimp and character on top of a conformationally correct structure and you can envision the beautiful alpaca that Chiaroscuro represents. Her name means light and dark in Italian, which is a perfect way of describing her appearance. Chiara's sire is 5 time color champion rose grey, Rayo's Roso e Grigio, a son of Rayo del Sol and an Accoyo Legacy mom. Her mom Daisy May is a maroon foundation mom from Xanadu Farm Alpacas who has several grey show ring stars. This championship background was a foundation for Chiara to also be awarded two color championships herself. What a thrill it was for us to find Chiara. We desired a beautiful rose grey female with fineness, density and structure as part of our foundation and she was a perfect match. Xanadu Chiaroscuro was bred to MFI Toledo and provided us with a beautiful rose grey male in November 2009. Our prayers for a spitting image of Chiara in her beautiful grey package were answered. We are anxiously a waiting the day when Chimera’s Orion Grey will be old enough to make his way into the show ring. Chiara, or ‘Chi-Chi’ as she is affectionately called, was bred to Victor Cassanova in Nov 2011;

Princess Elsa was named by our Grandson who was really into Frozen at the time. All appropriate as she has a small white spot on the back of one of her front feet. She sports a very nice fleece that contains nice density, fineness. Her 3rd fleece was tested; the AVG AFD was 20.7 with a staple length of 85mm; the min mic was 18.3 and max of 22.0

Stella is a beautiful female born from a black to black breeding; She has very fine, bright fleece with very reasonable density; Her 1st fleece tested at an AFD 21.4; with a min of 18.4 and a max 23.4;

Abyss is a very well conformed male sired by Chimera's Black Ops and is a great grandson of Mile High The Reverend Mr. Black. He is the result of breeding Black Ops to Chimera's Ebony Lace, the daughter of Dundee's the Lad to see how well he could improve the fleece qualities. While we proved that Black Ops could definitely improve the fleece qualities and the conformation, Abyss will never be a breeding male in our fiber program. He has nice TB fleece for yarn making, he does not carry the architecture in the fleece that we desire for our breeding males.

Aramis is a very well conformed male; He has very fine fleece, but with very little character. Genetically strong, we do not advocate using this male as a herdsire.

Perseus is the producer of some exquisite fleece. Bright, Fine, dense; Genetically, Perseus carries the best from Canadian and USA breeding programs. His 1st fleece had an AFD of 19.1 with Min of 18.1 and max of 20.

Euphorian looks identical to his sire, but has improved fleece traits from his dam; Very good density, fineness and staple length. His second fleece produced an AFD of 21.5, a staple length of 80mm; his min mic was 16.8 and max mic was 24.4;

Darth is a great combination of his dam and sire.. he has great fiber structure, density and brightness; He has great stature and conformation. like both his dam and sire, he is true black at the skin;

Chimera's Prometheus is clearly demonstrating the great traits of his heritage. The Fineness of Accoyo Elite, the Density of Caligula's Accoyo Posidon, the conformation and stature of Kirwin. Prometheus has been a great addition to the Chimera Ranch breeding program. Adding density, fineness and a variety of colors to our herd.

Mile High Dorian Gray's cria have hit the ground and they are generating WOWs... excellent conformation, density and fleece characteristics... Mile High Dorian Gray is the son of color champion Ruby Rose and multi-champion sire, The Reverend Mr. Black, both of Mile High Alpacas. This is the exact same pairing that created Dorian’s 14 time Champion full brother, Mile High Deacon Gray. Our first glimpse of this amazing dark silver gray male was at 6 weeks of age. His posture, personality, exuberant crimp, fleece characteristics and outstanding conformation were exactly aligned with what we had defined as being core elements to our program. Some judges have commented that he is a "show pony"; He holds his head high and presents himself in a way that says look at me, I have it all going on. Dorian has become everything that we had hoped for as he matured into the herd sire that is equal to or even greater than his exquisite heritage. Dorian now has two crias that were born in June 2013 and are entering the show ring, bringing with them his fineness, confirmation and presence.

Silky, Silky, Silky fleece with tremendous brightness is the best way to describe Rico's Tenacious. The finess represented in this fleece is exactly what we were planning for when we chose DDF Peruvian Rico Suave as the service sire for Xanadu Clandestine; The integration of the Accoyo Elite, Hemingway, Maple Brook Barnabus and Peruvian Presidio have generated a extremely fine fleeced young male with great conformation; Rico's Tenacious has staple length that is unbelievable and the bundling of fiber into fine fingers is amazing for his young age. We understand that Tenacious is the last born son of the great RicoSuave who was well known for his tremendous lingering fineness; Tenacious's 2014 stats suggest he may have inherited that trait.

From the day that Chimera's Sable was born, we knew we want to leverage Snowmass Golden Sentry with more of our foundation dams to leverage his great fleece characteristics and phenotype. When we had the opportunity to partner with Dundee Farm in 2013 and purchase Snowmass Golden Sentry, there was absolutely no question, it was a done deal. Sentry has an impressive pedigree supported by grade 1 fleece, 2013 shearing evaluation, distinct fleece organization and excellent density; Conformationally, Sentry is beautifully balanced, very solid and large boned, good jaw set, a very strong top line and a beautiful presence that he wants everyone in his vicinity to be aware of.

King Richard is a genetic powerhouse and is pushing those genetics and excellent fleece characteristics into his cria. Part of his appeal is that his genetics are rare in the west. That fits in with our goal of providing proven but rare genetics for out-crossing to create hybrid vigor. Among his ancestors are AOA champion Accoyo Troubador, CCNF Archangel, Accoyo Elite, 13x champion Sunset Hills Citation, Reserve AOA champion Accoyo America North Star....and the list goes on. For what ever reason, Ricky did not grow at the rate of his peers, so did not get the opportunity to participate in halter shows as he was maturing. In 2020, his fleece was submitted to the AOA National Fleece show and he received a blue ribbon in his class. Our excitement grows everyday as we see his cria enter this world and mature. HighJack is a great package in a dark fawn herdsire; He hails from Canada and brings with him, the great genetics of SnowMass Invincible (snowmass legacy gold, snowmass Maree Love) and the great Canadian Super Star, HFL Super Sam. He brings density and lingering fineness and excellent conformation as part of his breeding package.

A male with a great deal of potential. Great fineness, density, fiber structure. This male brings to the table, the El Nino, Elite, Posideon genetics from his sire and his dam. His dam also brings in the great contributions that Castano Bay contributed to the alpaca world. Aug 2020; We had high hopes for this boy in the AOA Show system but do to Covid-19, we are not sure when he may get to compete and get evaluated by the AOA Judges. His 2nd fleece tested with an AFD 20.4 and sd of 4.5; min mic 18.6 and a max of 22.2; his staple length of 90 mm.

Chimera's Desperado is a great looking young male; He packages the genetics of SnowMass Invincible, HFL Super Sam (Canadian Super Star), Kirwin, Camelot and the ancestors of these notables. Great fineness, density, conformation; We expected him to have a great show career, but with the Covid-19 Challenges.. he may not get to the opportunity. A great blend of white and color genetics in this wonderful looking package.

Kialah is on her way to be a fleece making machine... We sheared her at 3.5 months.. Her blanket alone was 1.2 lbs; Dense, fine; Excited about regrowth.
